RESPONSIBLE FOR THE development and delivery of the original, accredited and approved Rebound Therapy training course.
E.G. Anderson - Founder of Rebound Therapy
BRIEFLY, REBOUND THERAPY is the phrase that
describes the specific 'Eddy Anderson model' of trampoline therapy:- exercise therapy
which uses trampolines to provide opportunities for movement, therapeutic exercise and
recreation for people across the whole spectrum of special needs.
IT IS MORE than special needs trampolining or disability trampolining; Rebound Therapy
can provide a huge number of potential benefits.
THE TRAINING COURSE teaches logical progressions of movement patterns designed to
encourage the student to continually develop whilst at the same time experiencing healthy exercise and enjoyment.
FOR THESE REASONS, the Rebound Therapy training
course is widely accepted as the logical starting point for trampoline coach
training - even for those who do not intend to work with disabilities.
The training course has been continually developing since it was first introduced
in 1972 and is recognised both nationally in the UK and abroad.

"HAVING A DOZEN of my staff trained
as Rebound Therapy trainers was the most effective training expenditure I have ever
commissioned, in terms of measurable outcome from my students."
- HEAD TEACHER
"... PUPILS WOULD benefit from more regular
access to this outstanding provision."

THE REBOUNDTHERAPY.ORG TEAM of tutors
run approved, internationally recognised, certificated in-house Rebound Therapy courses
for staff training.
THEY TRAVEL THROUGHOUT the UK to provide these courses
at the request of schools, NHS groups, adult groups and charity agencies.
These are the standard (level 2) two-day certificated courses using the original
'Eddy Anderson model' of tutoring.
THE COURSES ARE
designed to enable members to use the trampoline for the benefit of students with a wide
range of disabilities. The course is portable and successful completion validates the
candidate to lead Rebound Therapy sessions at any suitable school or centre.
OPEN COURSES ARE, as the name suggests,
open to all and are suitable for those working independently and for schools and centres
who only have a small number of staff to train or are not able to have a course
'in house'.
WE HAVE 'OPEN' course venues in West Sussex, Cardiff,
West Midlands, Manchester, York and Glasgow.
ADDITIONALLY, SOME SCHOOLS and centres who commission
in-house courses make spaces available to those outside of their organisation.
THIS ONE DAY refresher workshop is recommended for:
THOSE WHO HAVE previously completed the Rebound
Therapy course and would like to refresh and update their knowledge and teaching skills.
(We recommend attendance on a refresher workshop at least once every three years.)
THOSE WHO HAVE completed the Level 1 school or centre
specific course and would like to upgrade to the Level 2 portable qualification.
THOSE WHO HAVE completed a special needs trampolining
course run by a recognised provider and who would like to validate as a Rebound Therapy
trainer.
THIS WORKSHOP is provided in house, open and online
THE 'REBOUND PLUS' course is a two-day
add-on module for those who have already completed a genuine Level 2 Rebound Therapy
training course.
IT IS DESIGNED to equip candidates to help their more
able students progress beyond Rebound Therapy and start the transition into mainstream
trampolining exercises.
THE COURSE COVERS grades 4 to 8 of the Winstrada
development scheme and is therefore also suitable for mainstream beginners.
THIS SPECIAL NEEDS trampoline coach course is also
suitable for teaching mainstream beginners and is step 2 of 3 on the Gymnastics UK
pathway to recreational mainstream trampoline coaching.
THE COURSE IS run in-house for schools and centres
and as an open course in the same way as our Rebound Therapy courses.
