Anyone, regardless of profession, is welcome to enrol onto our Rebound Therapy training courses. The courses shown on this website are the original courses first validated in 1972 by Cleveland LEA. The training course is approved by the Professional Development Board for Physical Education, which is a division of AfPE, and is a nationally and internationally recognised programme.
On completion of the training, candidates will be equipped to run Rebound Therapy sessions for their clients / students at any suitable venue, within the confines of their personal statement of competence and limitation which is written with the tutor's guidance at the end of each training course.
All Rebound Therapy practitioners are expected to agree to uphold the values of the Rebound Therapy Institute's Constitution.
The title 'Rebound Therapy' was created by the founder Eddy Anderson in 1969, and when correctly applied, describes a specific methodology, assessment and programme of use of trampolines to provide opportunities for enhanced movement patterns, therapeutic positioning, exercise and recreation for a wide range of users with additional needs.
Students' progress is recorded using the Winstrada development programme. Grades 1, 2 and 3 of this programme are based entirely on the genuine 'Eddy Anderson model' training course as detailed on the ReboundTherapy.org website.
When working with students with profound or complex needs, progress can be accurately measured and recorded using the Huddersfield Functional Index in conjunction with the.Winstrada development programme.
In order to ensure that the quality and integrity of Rebound Therapy is maintained, only those who are appropriately qualified and validated should use the phrase 'Rebound Therapy' to describe their work.
