Rebound Therapy qualification levels

Level 1
School or centre specific trainer.
Completion of this course will validate the candidate to lead basic level Rebound Therapy sessions within his or her school. The course content is specific to the needs of the students within the specified school or centre. The course is tutored by a member of staff from the specified school who has completed the Level 3 course (see below).
Completion of this course entitles the candidate to eligibilty for Membership of the Rebound Therapy Institute
This qualification can be upgraded to a Level 2 qualification by completing a one-day refresher / validation workshop run by Rebound Therapy.org

Level 2
The 'standard' Rebound Therapy course as detailed on our "STAFF TRAINING Courses" web page.
This course is portable and validates the candidate to lead basic level Rebound Therapy sessions at any suitable school or centre.
Completion of this course entitles the candidate to eligibilty for Membership of the Rebound Therapy Institute

Level 3
Train the Trainer (school or centre specific) qualification.
This course is to enable a member of staff within a school or centre to train other staff to Level 1.
Successful completion of this course will validate the candidate to train staff within his or her school or centre to lead basic level Rebound Therapy sessions within that same school or centre.
Candidates for Level 3 must have already successfully completed Level 2.

Level 4
This qualification will validate the candidate to run Level 2 training courses.
Candidates for Level 4 must have already completed Levels 2 and 3 and will undertake a mentoring programme.
Candidates for this level are invited when the need arises.
The level 4 qualification entitles the candidate to eligibilty for Fellowship of the Rebound Therapy Institute

Level 5
This qualification will validate candidates to run Level 2 and 3 courses.
Candidates for this level will already have completed Levels 2, 3 and 4 and will undertake a further mentoring programme specific to their needs.
There is only a need for a small number of Level 5 trainers and candidates for this level will be invited when the need arises.

CPD follow-on courses and workshops

One-day Rebound Therapy Refresher / Validation Workshop
This workshop is for:
1) Those who have previously completed a genuine “Eddy Anderson model” Rebound Therapy Level 2 course and would like to refresh and update their knowledge and teaching skills
2) Those who have completed a Level 1 school or centre specific course and would like to upgrade to Level 2
3) Those who have completed a special needs trampolining course run by another selected provider who would like to refresh and learn Rebound Therapy skills.

Advanced PMLD Workshop
A day to explore and develop exercises, programmes and activities specific to the needs of children and adults with profound and complex needs.

"Into Mainstream"
The "Into Mainstream" course is a two-day add-on module for those who have already completed the level 2 Rebound Therapy staff training course.
It is designed to equip candidates to help their more able students progress beyond Rebound Therapy and start the transition into mainstream trampolining exercises.
It covers grades 4 to 8 of the Winstrada development and award scheme.
